Research shows that long-term exposure to particulate matter (PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), ozone (O3) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) with a diameter of ≤ 2.5 µ m is associated with a higher risk of obesity, dysglycemia and type 2 diabetes.
